Jekka McVicar’s (VMH) Kensington Herbal Masterclass
Renowned Horticultural Expert Jekka McVicar (VMH) has created a kitchen herb garden at our Riverstone Kensington residence for our residents to enjoy with their friends and family within the landscaped gardens, designed exclusively, by RHS Chelsea Flower Show Award Winner, Andy Sturgeon.
Jekka hosted a Masterclass to a lucky few where she explained the importance of each herb planted in our garden, alongside ideas for suitable recipes. Showing us the importance of herbs and the ever-growing benefits that they have on our health, as a source of inspiration, guests were served tea with fresh herbs such as Lemon Basil Leaf and French Tarragon selected from our kitchen herb garden, as Jekka gave guidance and answered all herb related questions. Following the Masterclass, each guest received a personalised signed copy of the bestselling ‘Jekka’s complete herb book’, finishing with canapés and tasting bowls by our resident Italian restaurant and bar, Maria G’s, experiencing the sustainable incorporation of the herb garden into the Italian inspired dishes.
The day was a great success for residents and those who are considering to move to a Riverstone residence.
